For seagoing craft which may be anchored in exposed conditions, only the drop forged C.Q.R plough anchor is good enough in holding power, sheer strength and shank resilience.
For those craft which anchor in sheltered conditions, and where price is a major consideration, alternatives may be considered. The 'Hi-Blade' anchor is fabricated from high grade steel and has been designed to copy the holding power of the C.Q.R, to give maximum anchoring security in all circumstances.
The 'Hi-Blade' meets Lloyds requirements for high holding power anchors. Anchor selection should be made by equating the volume of the boat (beam & depth) with the overall length.
